We currently have a vacancy for a Veterinary Nurse

Veterinary Nurse

We require either one full-time or two part-time fully qualified veterinary nurse(s) to work alongside one other fully qualified full-time VN and two nursing assistants in our spacious and well equipped practice. The nursing staff work at the surgery, mostly with the small animals, but must also communicate with farm and equine clients in person and on the telephone. Our aim is to develop and expand our 'nurse clinics' and puppy parties, so the ideal candidate(s) should have the confidence to work face-to-face with clients.

The location of the practice is ideal for almost any lifestyle. Situated in the "Golden Triangle" of North Yorkshire, the area is predominately rural but with superb transport links to Harrogate, Leeds, York and Ripon. If you feel the need to travel further, we have good motorway, rail and air links to the rest of the country and beyond.

The practice is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Lake District and North York Moors are only an easy drive away. Facilities for almost all outdoor pursuits can be found locally.

If urban amenities are of more interest to you then you will not be disappointed, the local area offers a superb selection of schools, leisure centres, pubs, restaurants, theatres, cinemas and shops with clubs and activities for all the family.

We offer a relaxed working environment where quality of lifestyle is considered to be a priority. The work of the practice is truly mixed and varied (approx 50% small animal, 30% farm and 20% equine). We encourage and fund CPD. Participation in an out of hours rota will be required although you will only rarely be called upon. There are no out of hours telephone duties.
